About Me

Beware of Gina Ratliffe DeVeeA few years ago, I was interested in segueing my home-based business into an online venture when a friend of mine introduced me to a woman named Gina Ratliffe, a.k.a. Gina DeVee (yes, she now uses an alias like the criminal she is), who was supposedly doing this already and quite successfully. Unfortunately, it was a major rip off.

Gina tells her tale by explaining that she was a therapist who was barely making ends meet because of the long hours involved in her profession. Today (she claimed), she makes more money in one month than she used to in an entire year working less than half the hours she used to. For $6,000, she promised to teach me (and 29 other women) not only what she did to change her business model, but how to implement these strategies effectively and somehow get in touch with our feminine side at the same time.

Against my better judgment, I fell for it (except the ridiculous feminine crap).

After $6,000, I was not making a dime using her system while working at least double what I did before. Why? Because she could never explain <em>how</em> to get traffic to my site. Gina didn’t know how. Her concept of making money on the net is to hand out business cards. In fact, the friends I made in the course (the <em>only</em> good thing to come out of the class) and I realize now that she probably didn’t get any people in the class from the internet, but through her friends to whom she promised somewhere between $500 and $1200 to sign the rest of us up.

The only change I could see that this woman possibly made to her business was to gouge her clients for every last cent that they had. Once you’re in the course, you will be urged to get everything set up quickly (and sloppily, like her system) and to join affiliate programs under her for everything from your $100/mo shopping cart to your $20/mo ezine program. And if you can’t get it all done yourself, don’t worry. She also sells expensive VA services to the tune of $43/hour! I recently learned that her VAs sued her.

The saddest part is that I have since found various permutations of her course costing anywhere from nothing to $7 on the internet. Internet marketing gurus who have been around far longer with much higher profits than her are teaching this course with far more support and detail for only $500 or less. I have taken several of their courses because they actually give away more information than her in their <strong>free</strong> seminars! These guys aren’t promising to help you get in touch with your feminine side and quite frankly, this slant she had never made any sense to me.

This experience taught me a lot.

1) Never pay more than $2000 for an internet marketing program unless the person has already delivered increased income with their lower end products.

2) Read the fine print. This woman’s money-back guarantee was steeped in scarcity tactics. All she was ultimately offering was a rolodex. No promises that she’d show you how to make that rolodex work. Oh, and her money-back guarantee doesn’t exist. She has not honored it for even one of the people who has complained and is likely to be facing a class-action law suit.

3) Proceed very cautiously with these systems. Don’t fall for overnight success stories. Make sure your guru has been around for at least 5 years.

4) Make sure free info gathered from these marketing gurus actually delivers more than just some theory. If these guys really have something to teach you, they will offer you something to get you started up front. If you can make a little money with their free systems, it will finance you laying out bigger cash for their higher end products.

5) There is a lot of money to be made online <strong>honestly</strong>! Don’t feel you have to gouge a few people for whatever it is you have to offer. E-books and other digital download products sell like hot cakes. There are several products that show you how to deliver products that people wouldn’t mind paying for and in a way that doesn’t leave them feeling cheated.

None of the women who have signed up for Gina’s classes have seen an increase in revenues. In fact, many of us have seen our businesses lose momentum and several have even have gone out of business due to having lost credibility with our clientele by using her crooked tactics. If you don’t believe me, see what other class participants are saying. There’s also more about her here.

So just know that there are legitimate ways of making money online and I will do my best to provide you with what I have found to be the most legitimate programs available as well as the least expensive options for getting everything you might need to set up your business from free stock photography for your site and web hosting to inexpensive e-mail marketing products, shopping carts, voice recorders and more!

If you have also been ripped off by Gina Ratliffe DeVee, please share your experiences here. Together we can protect other women who might fall prey to this horrible woman.

You ARE EXACTLY right about “Gina Devee”. It is a scam. Bonified scam artist and so is her husband.

  • admin says:

I am sorry you experienced this with Gina. Know that you can stop her from continuing to take advantage of women by reporting her to the FBI cyber crimes department: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx

I’m not sure if ‘About Me’ is still around on this board, but I am currently being sued by the Gyna Devee. I hired her as a success coach, again on advice from a ‘friend’ and since I was not successful enough to pay her fees, she is suing me. Gyna offers nothing other than suggesting a couple of books to read and ‘go network’. I could have gotten more useful information out of “How to Do Nothing, for Dummies”. Avoid this person AT ALL COSTS.

I am so sorry you are having this experience. While I had thought of not coming forward with my experiences with Gina, I finally did because I wanted to avoid people going down the same road as so many others. Sorry you didn’t find this page before signing up with her. Print this page to show your lawyer/the court. Also print the pages on hubpages and complaintsboard about her. Funny how she can’t hold to a promise, but expects others to. There is strength in numbers, so I am here for you if you need something that I can write for you to show how criminal she really is.

I’m a coach who has been doing well for several years. I was already making 6 figures and well known internationally when I signed up for a $5,000 one day group program in 2010. The promise was I would know what my next big ticket offer would be by the end. Something to fill the gap I had at that time between my book and my one-on-one coaching.

It was a complete waste of money and time. And when we didn’t even discuss what my “big ticket offer” would be, she invited me to give her another $15,000. As if!

I’d heard negative things about her, but I took my chances. It seemed like such a simple and easy thing to accomplish.

Here’s what really bugs me… I filled out a 47 description of my business, my message, my unique selling proposition, how much money I make, and all my media attention (Wall Street Journal, United Press, hundreds of magazines, radio interviews, television, etc).

She told me to dump my niche. (Relationship with Money)

Two months later she came out with her first “what’s your money story?” video series. Ewwww!

Two months after that she started teaching her “money and men” program. (A total rip off of what I’ve been teaching for almost ten years, about the connection between our relationship with money and our relationship with love.) Unbelievable.

I heard from a woman two days ago that she lost $6k hiring Gina (whom she described as “another coach teaching something similar” to me) and got no real coaching (well of course! Gina doesn’t know how to do my coaching). I also heard a similar same story from another speaker at my gig in Hawaii: te other speaker spent $10,000 on Gina, and only got upsells instead of coaching. Gina didn’t even show up for some of their calls. I’ve also heard that some women have recently lost everything–their homes, their health–after investing $150K.

I’m grateful I didn’t take a risk I couldn’t afford. I’m horrified to see the damage she inflicts without remorse. She seems to fit the profile of a sociopath. I hope it eventually catches up to her legally.

Good grief! I often wonder what her parents would say if someone were to contact them to let them know what their little girl is up to. Supposedly her dad does some important job in a parochial school and has for years. I just don’t understand why she chooses to do this instead of honest business. Doesn’t it seem like a really difficult and complicated way to live? Always having to look over your shoulder? I guess it makes her feel important. Some people would rather be known for something bad than nothing at all. I guess she couldn’t figure out a way to have people admire her so she chose this path. Many blessings to you, Should have known better. I am so glad that you are able to make six figures honestly!

Omg I’ve read a lot about gina, Ali brown etc and just discovered that Ali brown taught/coached many of the female Internet marketers. Very disappointed that marie forleo is also friends with her. Also if you look at the testimonials of these so-called gurus, they all vouch for each other. Don’t give any of them your money. They deliberately girly themselves up and emphasise how hard it is to be a woman in business so that you fall for their marketing tactics. It’s all NLP and psychology tricks. Don’t buy from any of them!!! (wish I’d realised sooner). Also noticed that its really hard to find genuine reviews for any of their products? These are women who claim to be selling to over 300 people each time they launch a programme but there are hardly any reviews!

  • admin says:

Yes. It’s tragic. Thank you for submitting your honest comments. I wish you luck in your internet marketing! The good thing is that it is finally catching up at least with Gina. She’s not in jail yet, but word is getting out and that’s the best place to start. Make sure you submit your complaints to the BBB and the Cyber Crimes unit of the FBI.

  • Abbey says:

Report her ASAP to BBB… she has a “f” rating and absolutely report her to cyber crime. It does matter! I saw her talk about 3 1/2 years ago and I felt like needed a shower after listening to her. I couldn’t believe how many people were “in love” with her. The truth is, we all want to find a way to make money. Some secret code-and somewhere along the line we start to convince ourselves if we pay thousands of dollars t hen we’ll get the financial success we want. But to be “raped” by these women Gina, Ali, Marie, Lisa S…don’t fall for it…it’s enticing, listen to their free stuff, but know their intention to make MONEY and lots of it,….HERE’ THE KEY: “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”….
Prosperity, love and abundance for all!!!!

  • Abbey says:

BTW……Marianne Williamson is friends with her

  • admin says:

    Yeah, I know. It’s a shame.

I think we all have in the back of our minds that you have to spend money to make money and these people feed on that. Now I tell people that if someone can’t deliver something valuable for free, then they can’t do it for money either. The norm on the internet is to overdeliver something for free and then people will follow you. So don’t be afraid to ask them to give you something before spending your hard-earned cash!

I think the people who are in love with her are simply too prideful to admit that they have been taken for a ride. Then $150K later, they curse her. What goes around comes around and Gina and her friends have pissed off a lot of people. Hopefully threads like this will serve as evidence in court one day and they’ll all get locked up for good.

When you are dealing with a sociopath, anything is possible. What I am bothered by is the extortion tactics of someone who does not have the other’s best interest at heart. It is their ego and the lengths they will go to, to be seen as “successful”. It is a fear of “not having”. This is really not about money. This is greed, corruption and poor judgement. How different is this from James Ray, who was put in jail for the people who died in the sweat lodge. He insisted that they stay in the lodge to purge themselves of their blocks. As a result, a few of them died. The lengths people will go to in feeding their ego are horrifying. Gina pushes the envelope with her use of money exchange and intimidation. If you are interested in getting involved with Gina, do so with awareness and great caution.

  • admin says:

I totally called Gina on her scarcity mindset. It is aggravating to see so many people who are duped by this. I have seen several of the sites that women who work with her put up and they are so sad and unprofessional. You would think for 10s or 100s of thousands of dollars they would have a good system in place that would appear serious and even interesting.

Thank you for your comment. It is because of people like you and the others who have posted here and on other pages warning about Gina that many more have learned to avoid her and seek a real mentor.

  • Abbey says:

I was invited to an event this weekend. First they emailed me, the topic was “men and money”. I knew exactly who it was. They then called me and asked if I’d be coming. I said “this is Gina Ratliffe speaking”, she responded “it’s Gina DeVee”, I said “it’s the same person and NO I don’t approve of her message”….This particular organization I have lost so much respect for them, even after Gina screwed them 3 years ago, they reconnected with her……why? GREED!!! What is the saying “when you sleep with dogs…..” Please keep this dialogue going….The Universe will catch up to her!!!!
